new series of photographs



I was always interested in the old tractors still in use by small farmers here in the West of Ireland.. you still see them driving at 5 km/hr on the streets with bales of hay or sheep, gathering turf on the bog or getting supplies at the hardware shop.
It's poet Sean Lysaght from Westport who gave me the idea of photographing them all in Achill, because they are particularly common still here, and eventually one day make a book from it.

great! It's often the cabins that get altered with bizarre DIY arrangements, making these very individual vehicles - customised is the usual word!
